Ajahn Geoff is coming to Portland on Friday, November 2, 2012 through the following Tuesday. His schedule is below.
Friday, November 2
Ajahn Geoff will be at tea and lead Sakula Mary Reinard’s class Friday Night Dhamma.

7:00 – 9:00 PM Meditation, Dhamma talk/sharing
Saturday, November 3
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Ajahn Geoff will lead a daylong meditation and teaching. Ajahn has sent us a study essay, Wise Effort, to download. Please bring a potluck item to share for the meal offering. You can also click for more information about attending a daylong.
Sunday, November 4
9:00 AM Meal Offering (Prep at 8:30 AM)
9:30 – 11:30 AM Ajahn Geoff will lead Matthew Grad’s class Walking the Eightfold Path.
Tuesday, November 6
Ajahn Geoff will be at tea and join the usual Tuesday Meditation and Book Study.

Ajahn Geoff (Thanissaro Bhikkhu) is an American Buddhist monk of the Thai Forest tradition. After graduating from Oberlin College in 1971, he traveled to Thailand, where he studied meditation under Ajahn Fuang Jotiko, himself a student of the late Ajahn Lee. Ajahn Geoff ordained in 1976, studied with his teacher until his passing in 1986. In 1991 he traveled to the hills of San Diego County, USA, where he helped Ajahn Suwat Suwaco establish Metta Forest Monastery and where Ajahn Geoff still resides as Abbot.
