NEW! Sunday Sila with Family Program
Description:In-person and on Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89578178445
Sunday Sila is a good place to start if you want to get a feel for our community. The doors open at 9:45 a.m., and we begin at 10 with a brief chant, followed by a guided and silent meditation period, Dhamma reflection, and time for questions, sharing and announcements. At 11:30, we invite participants to get to know each other over coffee and tea on the garden level.
Do you have kids that would enjoy hanging out with other kids and caring adults on Sunday mornings? After a five-year break, we are re-establishing our kids and family program on January 5, affectionately known as Dhamma Friends.
Our leader is Anja Kubiniec, who is a music educator with lots of experience in early and primary education. She was an anchor of our previous program and is thrilled to help bring the program back as part of her own practice.
The program runs from 10-11:30 a.m. on Sundays. At this time, we welcome kids ages 3 and up without a parent, and younger kids with parent participation. Middle-schoolers and teens are encouraged to join in. Please arrive downstairs by 9:45 to get acquainted with the space and leaders. We take a gentle approach and parents will be responsible for helping their own and other children feel safe.
Please RSVP here if you plan to bring your children or have any questions. We’d love to hear from you!
